We’re David & Theresa, the hosts and stewards of Whispering Pines.
We’ve been married for 26 years and are grateful to share life with our five children and grandchild. Much of what we love most revolves around family, hospitality, travel, and the outdoors.
Over the years, we’ve traveled throughout the United States and abroad — including Ireland, Australia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Russia — and those experiences have shaped the kind of retreat we wanted Whispering Pines to become: peaceful, comfortable, thoughtfully designed, and deeply restorative.
We personally maintain the cabin, pond, trails, and amenities, and nearly every part of the property has been shaped by hand over the years. Theresa brings her love of interior design, vintage decor, and natural textures into the cabin’s warm and collected feel, while David focuses on the land, outdoor spaces, and guest experience.
When we’re not working on the retreat, we spend much of our time outdoors and caring for our beehives — a hobby that has grown into managing nearly 50 hives.
Whispering Pines was created to be the kind of place we would want to stay ourselves: quiet, private, restorative, and deeply connected to nature. We’re honored to share it with you.
